gaia by chilledsashel gaia by chilledsashel
I drew this pretty recently after hurricane charlie, the first hurricane I have been through. I tried to represent what I thought the forces of the earth might look like, gaia, and that it is not a force to be reckoned with and is still very much alive.

Wow, this is a stunning piece, the shapes remind me of some Maya/Aztec art, but more fractal-like. Rather unique I would say. The composition is great and I find the colors very fitting too. You should check out ~annat if you haven't already.

You know that is funny because someone else once mentioned my stuff looks like aborigine dreamtime art...I have never actually seen what that is but maybe the aussies style blew my way in the winds....actually this is really weird because I met a guy from australia today! Thanks for the comment.

Great how the blue represents the forces of water that hammer during a hurricane. I like those butterflies hanging out.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it =). I used a kind of rougher type of paper, between construction paper and normal printer paper, the name slips me. Probably something simple =/. I used green and black Zig pens, I don't know if you have ever heard of them, but they are very thin, .20 mm.

That is absolutely stunning. The colros are amazing, and I can feel the force that you're trying to convey through it. What medium did you use?
